Wokingham Borough Homes and Housing Fair 2010

Wokingham Borough residents, who want to find out more about all things housing, are invited to find out more at the Wokingham Borough Homes and Housing Fair next month.
The event – organised by Wokingham Borough Council in association with Catalyst Housing Group, Home Group, Housing Solutions, Sovereign Housing Group and Thames Valley Housing – is being held in the Oakwood Centre, Headley Road, Woodley on Thursday November 18 from 2pm to 7pm.
The Wokingham Borough Homes and Housing Fair is an opportunity to find out all you need to know about ‘everything housing’ - from the various affordable housing options in the area, to getting advice on renting, buying, mortgages and benefits. There will also be information about the latest Open Market Equity loan scheme offered by the borough council. Attendees will be able to pick up tips on how to make their home more affordable and environmentally friendly to run.
Executive member for social care Cllr Julian McGhee-Sumner said: “The fair is a great opportunity for the people of Wokingham to come along and speak to a range of housing experts. We are delighted to be hosting such an informative event and I encourage anyone who wants to know more about anything from mortgages to home maintenance to come along.”
